4. The App — Description and Free Access
4.1 What the App Does
Wedding Budget Planning is a mobile application that allows couples and individuals to plan, track, and manage their wedding budget. Core features include:
- Creating and managing wedding budget categories and subcategories;
- Tracking planned and actual expenses;
- Collaborating with a partner or guests in real time;
- Using pre-built budget templates;
- Offline editing with automatic synchronisation when connectivity is restored;
- Multiple language support.
4.2 Free Access
The App is currently provided entirely free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription tiers in the future. If and when we do, we will provide you with at least 30 days' advance notice and updated Terms before any paid features take effect.
We make no commitment to keep the App free indefinitely. Your continued use of the App after such notice constitutes your acceptance of any updated Terms.
4.3 Account Registration
- You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorised use of your account.
- We may use passwordless authentication (email PIN code) for login. You are responsible for ensuring that your email account remains secure.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
5. Collaborative Features and Shared Budgets
The App allows budget owners to invite other users to view or collaborate on shared budgets. The following rules apply.
5.1 Budget Ownership
- The user who creates a budget is its sole owner.
- Only the budget owner may delete a budget. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- When a budget is deleted, all invited collaborators will receive a push notification informing them of the deletion, subject to their notification preferences.
5.2 Inviting Collaborators
- Budget owners may invite other users by email. If the invited person does not have an account, a temporary record will be created and they will receive an email invitation.
- Invited users authenticate via a one-time PIN code sent by email.
- The budget owner determines the permission level (view-only or editor) of each collaborator.
5.3 Data Shared Between Users
- When you invite someone to your budget, that person will be able to see the budget data you share with them.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate consent from any person whose data (e.g. name, email) you enter into the App.
- We process shared data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5.4 Offline Synchronisation and Conflicts
- The App supports offline editing. Changes made offline are saved locally and synced to our servers when connectivity is restored.
- If multiple users edit the same item offline simultaneously, a last-write-wins conflict resolution strategy applies. We display visual indicators (highlights, badges, timestamps) on recently synced items to inform you of updates from collaborators.
- We are not liable for data loss arising from conflict resolution or interrupted synchronisation.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorised purpose;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App, our servers, or other users' accounts;
- Upload, transmit, or distribute viruses, malware, or any other harmful code;
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or the infrastructure on which it runs;
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to interact with the App without our prior written consent;
- Use the App to store or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, or infringing of third-party rights.

11. Service Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the App's server-side services. We may take the service offline periodically for maintenance, updates, or for reasons beyond our control. The App's offline mode is designed to minimise disruption during such periods.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of planned maintenance via in-app notice or email where significant downtime is expected.
12. Account Deletion and Data Retention
You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon account deletion:
- Your personal profile data will be deleted or anonymised in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
